Visit the Legendary Canadian Rockies Mountain

This is one of the icons that are always attached with the name of Canada, especially the mountain region known as the Canadian Rockies.Their natural beauty always managed to make every eye that looked at fell in love at first sight.All that thanks to the beautiful natural landscape with snow, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, and other natural wealth.

A total of 5 national parks around the Canadian Rockies, the Banff, Jasper, Waterton, Glacier, and Yoho National Park.Except Waterton National Park, all of them are included in the UNESCO World Heritage list.

The journey usually starts from the town of Valemount, which becomes the gate of the Canadian Rockies.Next will pass through Jasper National Park to see Mount Robson, which is the highest mountain in the Rockies Mountain.Jasper's journey through the city itself is very entertaining with beautiful scenery along the road.Next to the Columbia Ice Field to visit the Tabasco Glacier, to see the natural wonders created by snow that fell since 400 years ago and Glaciers with a special car to slide on the ice field.In this area we can also enjoy the beauty of the iceberg from a height of 3000 meters above sea surface.From here, Peyto Lake blue usually will be the next port and then head to Banff National Park.This is the place, where there is a green Lake Louise with the reflection of Mount Victorial and its glacier.From here we can move to Mount Sulfur by using a cable car, and we can see the beautiful waterfalls Bow, or see the hoodoos that are none other than petrified mushroom as the result of natural processes over thousands of years.

There are many more interesting places that can be visited, such as Drumheller town to see the smallest church which contains only 6 people and the Royal Tyrrell Museum Palaentology to see dinosaur skeletons.

Ten Famous Walls in the World (Part 2)

Last month I have posted the ten famous walls in the world part 1. In the first part there were many walls that is familiar with us. Today I will continue with the rest of the ten famous walls in the world.

6. Medinet Habu - Egypt

Wall known as Medinet Habu, the last wall standing from Ramsses III mortuary temple. This wall was built in the 12th century BC. The height reaches 60 feet (nearly 18 meters) and filled with 75,000 square feet of decorative and historical reliefs

7. The Great Wall of China

The construction of this wall began in 221 BC and continued to grow until the 17th Century. Most of this wall has been used by athletes during the Olympic cycling summer 2008.

8. Santa Maria delle Grazie - Italy

Maybe you've never heard of him. But you must know about the painting "Last Supper" by Leonardo Da Vinci. The painting walls (murals) Leonardo made was made in this wall. The painting "Last Supper" was completed in 1498. Although most of the walls of this monastery were destroyed in 1943, but this one wall was not touched!

9. Green Monster - Boston

Sports lovers will not forget the 37 foot-high walls (10 meters) which are called the Green Monster at Fenway Park, Boston. The wall that once destroyed by fire in 1934, re-built and kept up to date. This wall is now built with hard plastic covered with a decorated old-fashioned scoreboard, as the memories of the past.

10. Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Washington, USA

this wall is one wall is not the oldest, but at least this wall is always visited by many people every year. This wall was completed in 1982 and is made more than 58,000 American soldiers who died or disappeared during operations in Vietnam in 1959 until 1975.

What was so interesting about the wall? Moreover, if we talk about the wall or walls of the historic tourist attractions, what's interesting? In addition, if not the Great Wall of China or the Berlin Wall, what else are there other walls of the historic? Apparently there are 10 of the most amazing wall in this world ... we take a look one by one.

Berlin Wall - Germany

This wall stood firm in the city of Berlin for 28 years, as a reminder of the horrors during the Cold War. This wall is like a real form of the "Iron Curtain". This wall standing start in 1921 until 1989 that ended with the destruction of this wall as a concrete action from the end of the Cold War. This is the November 2009 year-end celebration of the power of 20 "strong" this dividing wall.

Kremlin Wall - Moscow

Red brick walls of this one fact has stood for 700 years. The length of this wall reaches around 1.4 miles and Red Square. There are four gates of the medieval era that still stands strong with 20 towers along the wall. Within these walls there lies the mausoleum where the body of Russias top leaders likes Stalin and Brezhnev.

Western Wall - Jerusalem

Wall which is also known as the Wailing Wall, have a variety of unique history. This wall also known as al-Buraq, where the Prophet Muhammad maintains his own horses. While the Jewish people assume that this wall is the wall to lament the destruction of the Jewish Synagogue.

Tzompantli - Mexico

In the ruins of Chichen Itza, you will find Tzompantli wall, or skull Wall. The history of this wall was scary, at the time of the Maya ruling; the skull is placed in a ritual sacrifice in this wall. This wall itself is decorated with reliefs of the skull and also various images of the ritual that existed at the time.

Hadrian's Wall - UK

This wall was built in the second century as the Roman emperor at the time, Hadrian, who was tired of fighting. The wall is stretching from the North Sea to the Irish Sea and at the moment, the wall is a boundary of the Roman Empire.

Safari Adventure Trip to Africa

Nowadays Africa is a favourite tourist destination and millions of people from everywhere. African safaris are especially popular among tourists and the national parks are some of the most best-selling destinations. As people think of Africa they right away think of a great adventure as experienced by the great explorers of the African continent.

Any vacations in Africa won't be complete without going on a safari to see the wild animals and the peace and quietness of the bushveld.

Africa is the second largest continent in the world after Asia, besides the second most inhabited one. There are literally hundreds of national parks and wildlife areas in Africa that you'll be able to travel to. And a few are definitely better than others once it comes to providing the potential for a great safari holiday. Here are the top five safari vacations in Africa:

1. Tanzania - Serengeti

During the annual migration, when the wildebeest and zebra pack up and leave their grazing areas to find fresher ones, the Serengeti is an astonishing place to be.

It's a very good safari vacations in Africa destination at other times of the year too but the migration has been ranked by many as one of the wonders of the natural world. Hard to beat in the safari stakes.

2. Kenya - Masai Mara

If you want to see the big cats, this wildlife park is hard to beat. Lion, leopard and cheetah abound and they are relatively easy to spot because of the grassland vegetation which means you get unrestricted views for miles around.

Another big plus is the fact that going off-road is allowed as long as you are not making new trails of your own. This is one of the few vacations in Africa parks that still allows this and it is a big advantage because the animals will rarely oblige you and stay next to the major roads.

The only downside here is that because of it's popularity there are a lot of people around so if you want to spend time in isolation with nature this is not the place to go.

3. South Africa - Kruger National Park

For sheer variety of species no other place in Africa can come close to the Kruger Park. And because it is so large (larger than Wales) it has a number of different ecosystems that you can pass through in your search for animals and birds.

It is one of the best managed parks in Africa and the accommodation and infrastructure is superb.

4. Botswana - Selinda Reserve

Seasoned safari travellers rate this reserve in north Botswana extremely highly and they return to it again and again, drawn by the very high concentration of wildlife, high standard of accommodation, service and exclusivity.

5. Zambia - South Luangwa National Park

South Luangwa is a diamond in the rough, just waiting for enough exposure to bring it to its rightful place at the crown of vacations in African wildlife destinations.But for the moment it's relative isolation as one of Africa's best kept secrets is part of it's rustic charmIt has a reputation as one of the best places in Africa to see the elusive leopard and it is the birthplace of the walking safari.

Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone officially became a national park in 1872 with 3,400 square miles of area, with a lot of geysers, hot springs, wildlife, scenes, rivers, lakes and other attractions. The park is in reality placed across three states from Montana, Idaho to Wyoming, but most of it is in Wyoming. People can do several things following the rules of the park, like wildlife watching, sightseeing, fishing, camping, skiing, lodging, gold panning, rock hounding and other activities.You are able to see cultural and historic resources that burst with more than 1,100 archeological sites. A museum collection of more than 379,000 cultural objects and natural science specimens and thousands of irreplaceable photographs and historic documents can be found at Yellowstone.

There are many attractions in the park such as Bear World, Dragon Mouth, Mud Geysers, Yellowstone Lake, Trout Lake Madison River, and Grand Canyon of Yellowstone Park. Bear World is where you can see the wild bears feeding and playing. There is spectacular water surge to over 100 feet high with the Dragon Mouth attraction. You will also find Mud Geysers fun for watching the steaming mud activities.

If you like more adventurous vacation here, then snowmobile expeditions as well cross country skiing during winter and hiking and trekking during summer might be just your cup of tea! Camping can be all sorts of fun, but the last thing you would like to do is forget something truly important. Before getting into the particulars of planning your incoming camping adventure, you had better start of making a list of essentials that you wont prefer to go without. It is a good idea to look over your existing camping equipment no doubt its ready for another camping season. Wear and tear along with the natural eliminates will eventually take their toll on your equipment. Checking ahead of time that you need to replace some gear is much better than when you begin setting up your camping site.

Here are a few fast tips and simple ideas to making your next camping trip enjoyable.

1.Bring the proper camping gear for your enjoyment. Everyone's ideas of essentials are different, some people love to sleep in the open and some in hundred thousand dollar RVs. Whatever your preference it's all good. I try to think out of the box and cover a lot of contingencies.

2.Think about sleep. Did you remember at tent, cot, mattress pad in sleeping bag? If you are staying in a campground, did you make reservations for a campsite or cabin?

3. Bring the proper clothing. If you grant camping trip involves hiking, do you have the proper footwear? How about the foul weather gear? Bandannas and scarves and serve multiple functions on a camping trip.

4. Consider food and meals. After a disastrous camping trip I learned to sit down with a pencil and paper and sketch out menus ahead of time. I then lay out all my food and supplies and tick them off my list for packing. Don't forget a can opener and utensils for cooking.

One cruise ship experience that combines the fun of sitting onboard a exciting cruise ship at nighttime and searching the local ports during the day are adventure cruises. Cruise ships have been around almost as long as people have sailed the oceans but the technological advances are massive.

An adventure cruise provides just what its name suggests adventure. Unlike ordinary cruises, the adventure cruise provides non-stop adventure during each of its ports of call. Whereas a regular cruise might offer a four-hour stop at a Mexican port to shop at the local open-air markets, the adventure cruise might schedule eight hours of hiking and exploring the native region. It basically offers the cruise traveler an in-depth look and experience of each port of call that might otherwise be missed in a usual cruise booking. The traveler gets a real taste for each and every locale thats on the cruises itinerary.

Adventure cruise ships are typically smaller than the average cruise liner, and the number of passengers rarely exceeds 200 people. These adventure cruise lines are smaller since they need to enter areas where larger vessels might not have access. For instance, a huge cruise vessel might not be able to enter the narrow passageways so common around the glaciers in Alaska or Iceland. Backpacking is becoming increasingly favourite among people. Whenever you're going to start a travel by your own, you had better see all the pros and cons of this wonderful past time.

Lets view the advantages first. One irresistible advantage is mostly relevant t the young and the not so wealthy backpacking is cheap. You are using public transport or hitchhiking, staying in youth hostels or camping out, and you learn to live out of your backpack thats where the name of the movement began. Another advantage is that backpacking seems to center on the local culture and traditions rather than idle leisure, nonsensical sightseeing or constant shopping. Backpacking seeks authentic feel of the good old travelling days when one had to endure a good deal of troubles and strife.

The disadvantages of backpacking are lack of comfort (and style). Low-priced accommodation cannot boast the amenities of five star hotels, and taking a private jet wont be included in a backpackers routine. Not everyone can turn to this mode of travelling since in some countries it remains controversial.

But backpacking as a trend is growing fast and there are more opportunities opening up since digital communication and resources make long trips easier and more enjoyable than before.
