Amelia Neilson

Amelia Neilson

Conservation Coordinator

Originally from Maine, Amelia got her start in conservation in Minnesota. She spent three years with the Conservation Corps in St. Paul, removing invasive species, helping restore prairies and floodplain forests, and training and leading crews of teens and young adults. There, she learned the power of connecting to place and one another through a shared sense of responsibility to protect and care for lands and waters. Now back in Maine, Amelia has assisted the stewardship teams at Maine Coast Heritage Trust and The Nature Conservancy, monitoring and improving access to protected lands.

When Amelia’s not traipsing around the woods, she often finds herself advocating for active and alternate transportation, exploring small town libraries, and picnicking with friends.
