Kyle comes to the organization with a background in outdoor, experiential education and marine science. She has worked in the experiential education field since 2017, leading and overseeing a variety of summer science programs in Florida and Maine, and engaging with local school systems.
She received her B.S. in Marine Science from Eckerd College, and then stuck around Florida a bit longer to earn her M.S in Marine Science with a concentration in Biological Oceanography from USF. After earning these degrees, she was ready to return to her Maine roots. Upon her return she moved to Hurricane Island where she managed their education program for 5 years.
Originally from South Berwick, Maine, Kyle now lives in Searsmont with her partner and dog. In her free time she loves to go for walks with her dog, dive into a good book, get creative in the kitchen, and do a plethora of crafts (quilting, needle punching, painting, printmaking).
