Discover the ancient horseshoe crab
June 3, 2022 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
FreeNote: This program has been moved to Friday, June 3 due to staff Covid exposure.
Horseshoe crabs (which are not crabs at all, actually!) have been around for more than 250 million years, and every spring many of them come to the shores of the Damariscotta River estuary to lay their eggs. Join naturalist Sarah Gladu on a walk to the salt marsh to search for spawning horseshoe crabs and learn all about these fascinating prehistoric creatures.
Weather contingencies: There is no rain date scheduled for this event; we’ll cancel only in the event of severe weather. If there are any changes, we’ll send an email to those who are registered.
