Join us for the first Trail Tamers℠ of the season!
To start off the season, we will be at Sarah Weston Kent Preserve continuing construction of a new trail. Thanks to our Maine Conservation Corps crew and volunteer workdays last summer we have cleared approximately 0.75 miles of trail and this year we hope to continue on that progress! This work will consist of hiking 0.75 miles over somewhat uneven ground, and then cutting and moving vegetation in order to clear a corridor for our new trail.
We will meet at the Pemaquid Pond Preserve parking lot at 1:00pm and head down the trail together.
Please bring water, work gloves, sturdy footwear, and a pair of loppers or handsaws if you have them. We will provide tools for anybody who needs one.
