Damariscotta is about to embark on a Planning Partnership Initiative (PPI) project with DOT along the Main Street/Route 1B corridor, from Bristol Road up to Route 1 near N.C. Hunt. This is an exciting opportunity to reimagine what an improved corridor could look like in 3-4 years!
We’re going to be working with the Sebago Technics firm to create preliminary concept and engineering plans, slated to begin in mid-March. This is not construction work – this is the visionary phase where the community can voice their ideas for Main Street.
Join us at our public meetings for the Main Street PPI Project in April! You’ll have a chance to learn more about the project, discuss your desires with community members and Town staff, and give valuable input about the future of Main Street. The meetings will be held on April 9th and 14th, 4:30-6:30pm at the Great Salt Bay School cafeteria. Reach out to communitydevelopment@damariscotta.maine.gov with any questions.
