March pussy willows

Visit a historic tree farm on the Damariscotta River

Spring is a time for renewal and change in the natural world. Join Coastal Rivers naturalist Sarah Gladu for a spring walk at Dodge Point Public Land in Newcastle. During this “Spring Saunters” series of guided hikes, we’ll observe bud burst changes from month to month and watch as our songbirds return from far-flung places. The Dodge Point walk will focus on changes we see in the plants around us and practicing identifying trees and shrubs.

We love dogs, but ask that you leave them at home for this guided hike.

Weather contingencies: We will reschedule as needed only for severe weather. If there are any changes, we’ll notify those who are registered by email and post an update on this page.
