A little bit of background on the unification discussion:

Last fall, DRA and PWA began a series of formal discussions on how best to collaborate more in order to meet important community needs: for clean water, special natural areas for people and wildlife, and outdoor education and recreation opportunities for all ages.

The consensus seems to be that the best, most effective and efficient way to collaborate closely, while staying true and close to our local communities and volunteer base, is through unification of the two groups, including a combined board and a new name.

As we move forward in this process, we wish to do so together with you. We hope you’ll join us to share your thoughts, questions and ideas before the membership vote on September 25.
