Foraging for fall wild edibles

September 11, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Free
Sarah pointing out wild edibles in the field

A bounty in your backyard

Have you been wondering how to make good use of the wild plants around your home? Naturalist Sarah Gladu, Coastal Rivers’ Director of Education and Citizen Science, will help you to get started. This online program will focus on some greens, bark, berries and tubers that are readily available in the region and some basic recipes.

Through Zoom, participants will follow along as Sarah points out the plants in their natural setting. Sarah will provide a map of plant locations so participants who live locally can visit the marked plants on their own and become more familiar with them.

This workshop will be a great resource for teachers interested in teaching students about wild edibles.
