Bridge at Seal Cove Shore Preserve

Saltwater wetlands and towering spruce

Join Naturalist Sarah Gladu and fellow nature enthusiasts for a gentle hike at Seal Cove Shore Preserve in South Bristol. Seal Cove offers many interesting experiences including a fern-filled ravine that feels primeval, rocky outcroppings, coastal spruce forests, and sweeping views of the Damariscotta estuary. Along the way, we’ll notice how the estuary influences the forest and vice versa.

Good footwear for walking and water is recommended. There may be ticks around, so please take precautions and be sure to check yourself over after our outing.

We love dogs, but ask that you leave them at home for this guided hike.

Weather contingencies: We will reschedule as needed only for severe weather. If there are any changes, we’ll notify those who are registered by email and post an update on this page.
