John Davis speaks on “The Eastern Wildway – Everglades to the Arctic”

May 20, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

John DavisThe 12 Rivers Conservation Initiative invites you to hear co-founder of the Wildlands Network, John Davis, speak on “The Eastern Wildway: Everglades to the Arctic.”

Friday, May 20th at 7:00 pm at the DRA’s Oats Barn at Round Top Farm in Damariscotta.

In 2011, Davis walked, cycled, skied, canoed and kayaked from the Florida Keys to Quebec to make the case for an Eastern Wildway. Davis will share highlights from this 7,600- mile trek through the wilder parts of the East and talk about the importance of the Maine Woods to this rewilding vision.

There is no cost to attend this event, though attendees are asked to please RSVP to the DRA at 207-563-1393.

The 12 Rivers Conservation Initiative is a regional conservation. We  are eight  independent  land  trusts  working  together  to  connect  the  natural  landscapes  of midcoast Maine. Our vision is a network of conserved lands that protect midcoast Maine’s ecosystems and ensure multiple human benefits for generations to come.
