This atmospheric film shows the beauty, intimacy, and uncertainty that coastal dwellers face in rooting their lives in the ocean, particularly as human actions — from overfishing, to aquaculture, to warming seas — confront Maine and its people with profound change.”

Participants will have online access to screen The Long Coast at their convenience during the 48-hours prior to the online panel discussion at 7:00 pm EST March 2nd.

Our conversation will be with the film’s Emmy-nominated & Peabody Award-winning documentary filmmaker Ian Cheney, Darling Marine Center Director Heather Leslie, and Coastal Rivers Director of Education & Citizen Science Sarah Gladu, along with others.
