Learn more about Coastal Rivers’ citizen science initiatives

Citizen scientists make a direct contribution to research while practicing hands-on science in the field and learning about environmental issues.

We invite you to join us for a presentation on our monitoring programs: collecting fresh and salt water quality data, documenting fresh water invasive plants, tracking potentially harmful phytoplankton blooms, monitoring the condition of area shell middens, and tracking horseshoe crab populations. Learn how you can help and meet the staff and volunteers who are involved.

NOTE: The location for this event has changed. The program will take place at Coastal Rivers’ Denny Center at 3 Round Top Lane in Damariscotta.

Please let us know you’re coming by using the sign-up form below.
