NOTE: The date of this event has been changed from March 23 to April 20.
Do you have a pole saw or pruner that you are itching to dust off? Are you interested in apple tree care and maintenance? Coastal Rivers’ stewardship crew is looking for volunteers to join us for a workday in the apple orchard at Whaleback Shell Middens. Work will entail removing dead wood and pruning live vegetation from the apple trees where appropriate. We will also be trimming out any brown tail moth nests we come across.
Please bring a pole saw or pruner if you have them. We will have a couple sets along with extra loppers and other cutting implements. Be sure to bring gloves, eye protection, and water.
If you plan to come, please let Brad know by emailing bweigel@coastalrivers.org.
