The Coastal Rivers Paddlers, formerly known as the PWA Paddlers, will kick off the 2019 paddling season with an excursion to Cabbage Island & Lewis Cove, launching from East Boothbay.

Paddlers should meet at the launch site at 8:30 for a 9:00 AM departure time.

Directions to the launch site:
Take Route 1 south and make a left onto Route 27 south in Edgecomb. Follow Route 27 about 11 miles to Route 96 (at the traffic light by Hannafords) in Boothbay Harbor. Turn left and follow Rt. 96 for approx. 2½ miles, bearing right at the grocery market onto Murray Hill Rd. The launch site will be on your left after a short distance.

The paddle will last about 3 hours and there will be an optional lunch at Lobsterman’s Wharf Restaurant following the paddle.

We welcome all new paddlers! No registration is required, but paddlers must have a release form on file with Coastal Rivers. Download the form here, or get a copy from the paddle leader at the time of the paddle.

PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information about the paddles, including guidelines and a complete 2019 schedule.

Paddle weather cancellations:

Coastal Rivers paddles are held rain or shine. If weather conditions are extreme, the decision to cancel will be made at the launch site, and paddlers will determine as a group whether to reschedule.
