Explore, connect, and create
Local artists Erica Qualey and Joy Vaughan invite you to join them at Plummer Point Preserve in South Bristol for an adventure in plein air painting. The group will gather at the preserve’s parking lot at 9:00 a.m. and walk along the trails to find an inspiring spot to settle to sketch or paint. There will be no formal instruction, but participants are welcome and encouraged to ask questions, share techniques, and socialize.
Bring the art materials you want to work with that day, bug spray, something to sit on, and a bottle of water to keep hydrated. Bear in mind we will be hiking on woods trails which can be hilly and full of roots, so sturdy shoes are recommended.
This is the third of four monthly outings we’re offering this summer. Our next one will take place at Hatchtown Preserve in Bristol on Monday, September 21.
Weather contingencies:
Painting at Preserves is a fair-weather program! If it’s raining, we will likely cancel, and we’ll notify all those who are registered by email no later than Sunday evening.
