With Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners (MOFGA)

Are there old, overgrown fruit trees on or near your property? Don’t give up on them! Join us for this pruning workshop focused on renovating mature or neglected fruit trees.

This workshop is appropriate for those who have not pruned fruit trees before or those who have just a little experience. Instructor Edgar Evenkeel will discuss basic pruning practices and required tools. This type of pruning often involves ladders, pole pruners and sometimes climbing but there will be lots of opportunities to learn and practice cuts from the ground level. Participants should dress warmly and bring their pruners, loppers, and saws if they have them. (Instructors will also have a few tools to share.)

How to Register

Follow the link to register through MOFGA’s website (be sure to click on the Damariscotta venue).
General admission price is $50. MOFGA members price is $35 (please enter discount code “MOFGA”). Participants in MOFGA’s Journeyperson program and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) community members should select discount code “FREE.”
