Now in its sixth year of hosting the Coffee House and open mic for the Damariscotta region, the DRA invites musicians, singers, poets and other performers to sign up and demonstrate their talents during the open mic portion of the Coffee House. The stage is open to everyone. The event is held on the second Friday of each month. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The open mic runs from 6:45 to 8:15, with a 15-minute break before the feature act from 8:30 to 9:30. The open mic is a series of eight-minute, two-song slots, and is designed for individual or small group performances. Performers should be able to walk up on stage and set up quickly. To be assured of a slot, performers should show up to sign up promptly at 6:30.

Coffee and snacks are available. A plate or two of home-baked goods or a volunteer shift at the open mic earns half-price admission. Rising Tide Community Market sponsors the DRA Round Top Coffee House by providing refreshments for each show. Rising Tide is proud to sponsor this opportunity for the Damariscotta community to hear some great music from local talent and from around the region.

The DRA Round Top Coffee House is held at DRA’s Round Top Farm, 3 Round Top Lane, just off US Route 1B (Main Street) in Damariscotta, with onsite parking. The venue is across the street from Hammond Lumber and next to Women of Substance. Admission is $8 ($5 for Seniors, free for kids 12 and under).
