Explore spruce woods on the shores of Jones Cove

Join naturalist Sarah Gladu for a guided hike through the coastal spruce forest at Tracy Shore Preserve. Sarah will talk about characteristics of this forest community and point out a variety of woodland plants, shrubs, mosses and lichens.

Located along the eastern shore of Jones Cove on the Damariscotta River, Tracy Shore is owned by the Town of South Bristol. A system of trails managed by Coastal Rivers winds past a cascading stream and cliffs adorned in rock tripe and ferns. The trails are moderate in difficulty, with some hills, tree roots and rocky areas.

To protect the health of our program participants of all ages and vaccination status, masks are required for all in-person programs.

We love dogs, but ask that you leave them at home for this program.
