Trail Tamers workday at Crooked Farm Preserve

November 2 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free
Bog bridging at Crooked Farm Preserve

The next Trail Tamers™ workday is scheduled for Thursday, November 2nd from 1-3pm. We’ll be installing some much-needed bog bridging along a wet section of trail. For the installation, hand tools will be used to level out the ground if need be, and then each section will be assembled using power tools. We hope to have much of the heavy bog bridging material staged close to the project area before the workday so we can focus more on assembling than hauling!

We plan to meet at the preserve parking lot, which is located at 440 Old County Road in Pemaquid. As with all Coastal Rivers work parties, safety is our top priority. Please bring necessary personal protective equipment such as sturdy footwear, eye protection, gloves, and bug spray. The trails have been quite muddy, so boots are recommended! We will have various hand tools and other necessary equipment to complete the tasks at hand, but feel free to bring your favorite pair of loppers or pruners, and/or a hand saw!
