In person or online

Are you curious about the health of your local pond? Join us to learn about water quality in Pemaquid area ponds presented by Coastal Rivers Water Resources Intern Josie Lefranc. Josie is a geoscience major and student at Skidmore College who is passionate about water quality and environmental protection. With the help of volunteers, Josie has been collecting water quality data on a weekly basis at Biscay Pond, Boyd Pond, Clark Cove Pond, McCurdy Pond, Paradise/Muddy Pond, Pemaquid Pond, and Muscongus/Webber Pond.

Data is collected on water clarity, dissolved oxygen, temperature, and phosphorus levels. Coastal Rivers shares the data with Lake Stewards of Maine to help inform the community and as a service to the towns we serve.

The hybrid-format presentation will be available online, and will be recorded. Once you submit your registration, you’ll receive an email with information about how to join online if you wish to.
