Wednesday Walker Hike on River~Link
June 27, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
FreeThe hike will begin at Dodge Point and return to via the same trail. From Dodge Point, we will follow the Farm Road in the counterclockwise direction for a quarter mile or so. After walking the Timber Trail a short while, we will then cross River Road.
After the crossing, we will travel along an old logging road with dense young spruce, a section resembling the forest in Narnia as Lucy enters the wardrobe. We will traverse a small footbridge and head toward the ridge. We will continue over several more bridges, including an old stone bridge. More up and down, another bridge, and then – if we have time – a delightful trip through the once-inhabited region of Mount Hunger.
We hope this will enable folks to become familiar with part of this 5 mile hike that can be done as a one-way trip finishing up at McKay Road.
