Wild Edibles Walk

October 7, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free
Sarah pointing out wild edibles in the field

Enjoy some wild snacks “to go!”

Join Coastal Rivers Education Director Sarah Gladu for a gentle walk at Salt Bay Farm to learn about and sample commonly found wild edible plants. Sarah will serve up some pine bark and curled dock muffins as a snack to launch the program. The group will then set out on a walk to look for plants to nibble, including some tubers once favored by the Wabanaki people who harvested them in the area. Take home a few recipes and new knowledge about a new way to enjoy the plants you find around you wherever you are in the region!
