Wild edibles in your backyard
Do you dream of making wild wood sorrel sauce for your fish dinner? Serving up freshly foraged wild tubers? Naturalist Sarah Gladu, Coastal Rivers’ Director of Education and Community Science, will help you to get started. Join Sarah for a gentle walk around Salt Bay Farm to identify common wild edibles you are likely to find nearby. You’ll have the opportunity to taste some, such as pine bark chips and roasted groundnut.
You’ll leave this program with new knowledge of local wild edibles, and a few recipes to try at home!
