Coastal views and shoreline cliffs

Join naturalist Sarah Gladu for a winter walk at Tracy Shore Preserve in South Bristol. During this “Winter Wanders” series of guided hikes, join fellow nature enthusiasts to discover what winter has to offer here in midcoast Maine. Learn all that goes on in the subnivean world (the layer beneath the snow), practice identifying plants in winter, search for cold-season migratory birds like snow buntings, take an up-close look at springtails, and explore new trails.

Please come prepared with winter boots and water, and dress for the weather. Crampons, microspikes, or snowshoes may be helpful, depending on conditions.

We love dogs, but ask that you leave them at home for this guided hike.

Weather contingencies: We will reschedule as needed only for severe weather. If there are any changes, we’ll notify those who are registered by email and post an update on this page.
