You're invited to come enjoy the snow with sledding, hot cocoa, a campfire, and marshmallows. Bring your own sleds, or borrow one of ours!

Don’t let the winter blues get you down! Join local businesses, organizations and schools to take up the Winter Physical Activity Challenge, whether by yourself, with family or friends, or with a team. Between Monday, January 15 and Sunday, March 3, your challenge is to be physically active for at least 30 minutes four times a week, or an equivalent amount of time, in order to reach the symbolic goal of exploring New England in the New Year. Partner Event: GSB School Art Show

Coastal Rivers Denny Conservation and Education Center 3 Round Top Ln, Damariscotta, ME, United States

The Annual GSB whole School Art Show will be on exhibition at Coastal Rivers HQ (across the street from GSB) on Thursday, March 14, and Friday, March 15. The general public is invited to view the show between 9am and 3pm on Friday.

On Thursday, every class will be visiting the exhibition throughout the day. Thursday evening, March 14, students' families are invited from 4pm-6pm with snacks provided.

There is a volunteer opportunity for every interest, whether it’s monitoring water quality, stewardship, handy-work, hospitality, nature education, helping with events, or photography!

Please join us to meet staff, learn where volunteers are most needed, have all your questions answered, mingle, and eat pizza. We'll show slides as we go over the variety of opportunities available. Kick back and enjoy a hand-picked selection of the just-released 2024 films, and enter to win great giveaways from Coastal Rivers and Wild & Scenic's National Partners. Partner Event: Mid-Coast Audubon Field Trip

Coastal Rivers' Salt Bay Farm 110 Belvedere Road, Damariscotta, ME, United States

Join a group from Mid-Coast Audubon to seek early migrants at Salt Bay Farm. Walk the meadow looking for Savannah and other sparrows, scan the pond for ducks and geese, investigate the forest edges for early migrating warblers and songbirds, and then scan Great Salt Bay for gulls, ducks, Osprey and Belted Kingfishers.
