Field Trip into the Salt Marsh
We invited you to join naturalist Sarah Gladu at Coastal Rivers’ Salt Bay Farm for a field trip into the salt marsh to search for horseshoe crabs, mummichogs, and marine worms. We'll explore the spartina grasses and a salt marsh creek as we look for horseshoe crab nesting sites. Learn about the history, biology, and behavior of horseshoe crabs, as well as the importance of salt marsh environments along the Maine coast.
