Celebrate National Take a Hike Day with us! Join naturalist Sarah Gladu at Salt Bay Farm Preserve in Damariscotta for a stroll through rolling fields and along the shores of Great Salt Bay to visit ancient middens. We may witness late migratory birds in route to southern habitat, and visit the salt marsh in hopes of seeing signs of mink and other wildlife. There may be some muddy spots, so wear appropriate shoes or boots.

There is no fee to participate, but monetary donations of any amount to the Foodbank Farm are encouraged.

Join Naturalist Sarah Gladu and fellow nature enthusiasts for a gentle hike at Plummer Point Preserve in South Bristol. Plummer Point is a local favorite, with its lovely coastal spruce forest and lovely views of the Damariscotta River, Seal Cove, and nearby islands. We'll make a short loop through the woods and stop at the shore to look for seals and seabirds. Bring binoculars if you have them, or borrow a pair of ours.
