The goal of Coastal Rivers’ nature education programs is to connect people with nature and promote a lifelong love of the outdoors. We do this by encouraging individuals to make their own discoveries about nature through hands-on experiences.
If we do our job well, the kids who develop this connection to nature and sense of place today will be inspired to care for the Damariscotta-Pemaquid region in the years to come!

Beachcombers' Discovery Center
During the summer months, visitors to Pemaquid Beach Park can stop in to visit the touch tank, borrow books, enjoy fun learning activities, and play games.
