LA Students put the “community” in community service project
These young men from Lincoln Academy were a great help.

For many years, Lincoln Academy sophomores have spent the first morning of the school year doing service work here in the community. Continuing this tradition, thirteen sophomores from Mr. Manahan’s advisory group Lincoln Academy helped volunteers and staff from DRA with trail work on September 1. The group worked on the Salt Bay Heritage Trail  where they enjoyed a morning of moving bridges, clearing brush and improving trails before returning to classrooms and books.

The students were a great help, and the trails and trail structures are now in better shape for community use. The Salt Bay Heritage Trail offers some of the best views of the bay, and if you haven’t explored its miles of trails yet, now is a great time to do so! This preserve is open to the public from sunrise to sunset, year round. Happy Trails!
