Math in the woods #2

Math in the woods #2

Measuring interactions between forest insects and plants

Recommended for grades 4 through 8.

Here’s an activity for the whole family. In an ideal world, older siblings could help younger ones and they could work together. Realizing this is not an ideal world, it may be some other arrangement will need to be made!

Some kids may get adventurous and want to look at numerous sites which could be pretty interesting. Any rate, have a great time and let me know how it goes.

My best,
Sarah

P.S. Pictured is one of my favorite beetles, the dogbane beetle, which can change color!

P.P.S. Don’t forget to check for ticks after you’ve been outside.
