Mid-coast Audubon invites all to join for their "Salt Bay Sunday" field trip at Coastal Rivers Salt Bay Farm. Join us at Salt Bay Farm as it comes alive with the sights and sounds of spring. We’ll look for the earliest arriving swallows, sparrows, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and maybe even a few warblers!

Field Trip into the Salt Marsh
We invite you to join naturalist Sarah Gladu at Coastal Rivers’ Salt Bay Farm for a field trip into the salt marsh to search for horseshoe crabs, mummichogs, and marine worms. We'll explore the spartina grasses and a salt marsh creek as we look for horseshoe crab nesting sites. Learn about the history, biology, and behavior of horseshoe crabs, as well as the importance of salt marsh environments along the Maine coast.
