Orchard pruning workday

Do you have a pole saw or pruner that you are itching to dust off? Are you interested in apple tree care and maintenance? Coastal Rivers' stewardship crew is looking for volunteers to join us for a workday in the apple orchard at Whaleback Shell Middens. Work will entail removing dead wood and pruning live vegetation from the apple trees where appropriate. We will also be trimming out any brown tail moth nests we come across.
