Make a legacy gift
Leave a lasting gift of land conervation through a bequest or will, a life income gift, or a gift of special assets. Most legacy gifts offer tax benefits, have little or no current financial impact on you, and may result in the largest and most lasting one-time gift you ever make to the land trust.
Donate land
We wouldn’t be here without landowners who care about the future of the Damariscotta-Pemaquid region. We focus on conserving properties that protect water quality; build on already conserved areas; contain high quality wildlife habitat; or protect traditional uses, scenic views, historical features, or recreation opportunities for public benefit. However, even houses and properties that have little conservation value can be donated. (In these cases, we would then sell the property to acquire land that is valuable as habitat or that furthers our conservation goals.) IRA distributions & gifts of stock
By transferring your mandatory IRA distribution or a gift of stocks and securities directly to Coastal Rivers, you can preserve our region’s natural assets while receiving potential tax benefits.
Donor Advised Funds
If you’ve created a Donor Advised Fund, you can contribute funds to Coastal Rivers at a time that is convenient for you.

Many employers offer matching programs or other incentives for charitable giving. Whether you’re an employee wanting to boost the impact of your gift or an employer looking to start or grow a corporate giving program, we’d love to hear from you.
