Your name here?

We need your help.

DRA and PWA are joining together as a single organization in February, and we need a new name.

We are an accredited land trust, and also so much more. We are looking for a name that reflects our commitment to land conservation and stewardship, water quality, trails and outdoor recreation, and educational programs for all ages.

Our geographic focus is on the Damariscotta River estuary and surrounding lands, the Pemaquid River watershed and greater Pemaquid Peninsula, and Johns Bay (see map).

Our new name should be catchy, memorable, and fresh, and ideally not too much of a mouthful.

It’s a lot to ask – but we’re sure you’re up for the challenge!

What’s in it for you?

Just for submitting one or more ideas, your name will be entered in a drawing to win a prize. Up for grabs is a weekend in a rustic cabin on Witch Island or at the Osborn Finch Preserve in Waldoboro, a guided motorboat tour of the Damariscotta River for you and up to 5 friends or family, and a guided tour of the lower Pemaquid by kayak or canoe! The drawing will be held on February 15.
